Swim Lesson Program
 

 

  STAS Group and private swim lessons are available at all Spare Time Clubs facilities. Group lessons are offered for children from the age of 6 months up through adult beginners. Class size is limited. You will be notified if a class is full and placed on a wait list.
Ability requirements must be honored unless prior instructor approval is granted. Registration will be accepted for any instructional swim class at any of the Spare Time Clubs  Pools during any swim time or by mail.

Parent & Child
Helps young children (6 months - 5 years) become comfortable in and around the water so they are ready to learn how to swim. 30 Min.

   Level One
 
Introduction to Water Skills - for those little tykes who are just starting off in the water. 30 Min. Children are in the water without their parent or guardian.
 

   Level Two

  

Fundamental Aquatic Skills - for those who can fully submerge face, blow bubbles, and do assisted floats. 30 Min 
 

 
  
  Level Three
Stroke Development - for those who can fully submerge head, flutter kick on back and front with arm action, and float on own. 30 Min

  Level Four
Stroke Improvement -for those who have coordinated front and back crawls with rotary breathing, butterfly kick and butterfly body motion. 45 Min.

  Level Five
Stroke Refinement - for those who have coordinated front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, and elementary back stroke
 
  Level Six
Personal water safety/ fitness swimmer - a combination of the activities that you can do in the water after you have become a proficient swimmer. 45 Min.
 
  Under Water Video Analysis
Have your on video analysis on DVD high quality 30 or one hour (swimmer provides blank disc) 
 
  Adult

13 and older beginner - intermediate. 30 Min.

 

Private Swim Instruction

Individual swim instruction for age 3 years to adult is offered according to the following schedule. Please register at the pool facility where the private lesson will be held. Please call the pool to find out dates and times available; space is very limited. Private lessons are only held during our group lessons
