Competitive Swimming
SPARE TIME AQUATICS SACRAMENTO SWIM TEAM is a year-round competitive swim team sanctioned by USA Swimming. Our Developmental, Age Group and National swimming programs provide year-round training and a training group for EVERYONE - from the novice to the elite levels of swimming. Since our inception, the STAS has trained hundreds of swimmers, making it the Best Program in Northern California.

Professional Coaches Our coaches are trained to teach your swimmer, while also having fun! The STAS regularly send our staff to professional seminars to keep them abreast of the current techniques. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time. The STAS SWIM TEAM has established itself as one of the best teams in the Sierra Nevada area. For the past seven years we have the best results in our age group program.
Flexible Training Schedule
Our home, Rio Del Oro Racquect Club, allows us the flexibility to offer each group a variety of days for training, so that you and your child can swim while participating in other activities.
Stroke Technique
Our coaches believe that stroke technique must constantly be in the forefront of training if the swimmers are to accomplish their goals.
Endurance Training
As the swimmers age up their endurance training will increase.
Challenging and Fun Competitions
The STAS host several meets throughout the year which attract competitive swimmers throughout the region. Many of our younger swimmers get the unique opportunity to swim at the very popular Ice Breaker Meet which is designed to increase the self-esteem of the young swimmers.

Goal
The goal of STAS Swim Team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to college and international competitor.All of our coaches, as members of the ASCA - American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States.
They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.
The STAS - Spare Time Aquatics Sacramento Swim Team is owned by Spare Time Clubs. Since 1972, Spare Time Clubs has been the Sacramento area’s premier developer of private, multi-recreational fitness clubs. Our clubs offer a unique combination of fitness, racquet, and social programs and activities for our members. Since opening our first club, Rio Del Oro Racquet Club, in Sacramento we have expanded to include the communities of Natomas, Folsom, Elk Grove, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Gold River, Lodi, Oakley, Brentwood and Antioch.
Parent Board:
We also have the STASPB a parent board helping our team. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fund raisers.
We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team.
