Joining STAS
Use the Contact Us page to let us know
you’re interested in finding out more. A STAS Coach or
team representative can call you. And by all means come by,
observe a practice, and even swim with us on a trial basis for a
week. You are welcome to stop by the pool deck any morning or
afternoon we are practicing. Because USA Swimming is a
year-round program, swimmers can join our program
anytime.
STAS swimmers
register with USA Swimming "attached" to the STAS team in the
"Sierra Nevada" LSC (=area of the country). This required
registration provides us with insurance coverage for the practices
and meets and provides you with Splash Magazine, online tracking
and graphing of your times, and a national ranking in each of your
events.
Registering with USA Swimming is easy and can be accomplished
online through a Website called SwimConnection.

Athletes:
Annual Membership
membership is for a calendar year period (January-December); new
memberships processed on or after September 1 are valid
through December 31 of the following year
Outreach annual membership with reduced
fee; membership is for a calendar year period (January-December);
memberships processed on or after September 1 are valid through
December 31 of the following year
Seasonal at the option of the Local
Swimming Committee, seasonal membership may be offered; seasonal
membership is valid for 150 days or less
Single-Meet Open
Water at the option of the Local Swimming
Committee, single-meet open water membership may be offered for the
specific date(s) of an open water
competition(s)
